MARHAM: The Digital Healthcare Revolution!

Did You Help Someone Today? #MarhamBano

The phrase "Health is Wealth" is not just a cliché, But It actually does refer to the importance of one's health. When during sickness our health is compromised, we set out to find a good doctor and not just a general physician or a doctor from the Local clinic who can miraculously even cure cancer from a Panadol. During our tireless searches, a word of mouth can help big time. Even the smallest suggestions from our family and friends who have dealt with similar health issues previously can literally make a difference in narrowing down the search for the most appropriate doctors. However at times, even our family and friends' knowledge is limited about it.

Marham was created to provide a platform for connecting the patients directly to doctors, eliminating the doubt factor. For the Era we live in, where we have the entire world on our fingertips, it has become easier to know about the Healthcare system through the smart phones and internet and connect with 5,000 doctors of the around 12,000 socially active pupils on Marham.

Marham is a way to empower the people to get awareness of the shams run by some quacks that call themselves doctors and ruin people's lives. In other words, Marhamis a community based initiative and can help people make better health decisions than they can on their own. Be it good or bad, our feedbacks, and reviews of the doctors we go to, and the treatment we get, can make someone's life better and ease their pain, and even save one's life!

Watch the video of the central idea of Marham here to understand better about the actual issues people face.

As a victim of misdiagnosis by a family doctor, I went through a great deal of pain and wrong treatment myself, that ended up only to deteriorate my health further, and getting the family doctor's medical license revoked. Since that traumatizing experience, choosing the right doctor for treatment has been the hardest part of my life. And in one way or another, this was the reason why I wanted to pursue my degree in medicine.

The Marham community as per now is an active group of around 12,000 people, and the website and mobile application is due to launch soon.  However, it does not stop here. We still need to spread the word about it since this a cause that will definitely save lives! I urge everyone to join the Facebook page of MARHAM and be the part of the community.
