EXPLORING THE WILDERNESS!
I felt the wind in my hair,
I felt the wind on my skin,
I felt the wind when I took a breath,
the summer crisp, the heat, the brisk,
I let it all in with a smile so frisk.
I felt the wind on my skin,
I felt the wind when I took a breath,
the summer crisp, the heat, the brisk,
I let it all in with a smile so frisk.
I danced with the wind, serenading to the songs,
the songs that I heard from the birds and the trees,
echoing through the valley with splashes and gashes,
the splashes from the river, the gashes from the breeze,
I let it all in, and I danced with the wind.
the songs that I heard from the birds and the trees,
echoing through the valley with splashes and gashes,
the splashes from the river, the gashes from the breeze,
I let it all in, and I danced with the wind.
Twirling and whirling with the ocean and its motion,
feeling the water at the tip of my toes,
tickling and tingling while gushing through the valley,
hopping my way to the top of the rows,
I soaked it all in and I swiveled with the wind.
Glistening and sparkling, the water flowing by,
under the sun's intense, glowing eye,
laid under the shade of a canopy's roof,
the sun peeking down from the leaves aloof,
I breathed it all in and I smiled with the wind.
I wrote this poem last year but never got around to post it. When i was all about writing poems, my sister put me to a test and asked me to write a poem related to wind and so i wrote this piece for her. Certainly not one of my bests, but it is kinda catchy so..yeah.. :p I hope y'all like this one. (ooh and try reading it in one breath, it sounds like a very noob tongue twister too. LOL)
Till I get my own day off to visit the actual wilderness, this is me, floating away..
