Discount shopping: Rip-off or nah?

I'm all about shopping for discounts and bargain deals, especially when websites like Lootlo.pk go all generous and give their customers a luxury to buy deals that are both inexpensive and worth every penny and are pretty reliable as they offers a great deal of stuff for a lesser price.

Not very long ago, I too was amazed to see such a brilliant initiative by Team Lootlo.pk that i ordered a certain deal from a skin clinic called 'Laser Light Skin Care'. The deal was pretty amazing as it included too many treatments that were initially worth PKR 8,700 but after a discount of 89% off, the deal from Lootlo.pk was worth PKR 999! Oh yes! ONLY ONE FRIGGING THOUSAND!
The treatments that were included in this voucher were:

After three days of ordering and confirming my order, We received our voucher and we paid the amount upon delivery. I was quite excited since it was my first Lootlo.pk purchase, and immediately called up the clinic for appointment. After a day, it was the moment of truth. We arrived the clinic (which is in zamzama) after an hour of driving around. Karachi can be very confusing at times and since we were all fasting except my Mama sita, We were exhausted as hell.

Upon arriving 'Laser Light Skin Care', we were ushered in greeted very warmly. we waited for a couple of minutes while they served my mother and other Roza-chour girls with refreshments, which i think was a pretty nice gesture.

During all the treatments, Firstly i was surprised as hell when two men walked right inside AN ALL FEMALE SKIN CLINIC! I mean, how rude and inappropriate is that!

Anyway, recovering from that, I was completely amazed with the warm and friendly environment and brilliant services. Until when i was one of my last treatments, i decided to take some pictures of the very pretty interior with my camera, and as a result, i was very very very rudely confronted by one of their workers an THE OWNER HERSELF. She actually had the audacity to snatch my camera from me and DELETE THE PICTURES I TOOK! I felt so insulted and weak at that moment. I could've just made a scene on how that's just plain pathetic but I kept quite and waited for my family to get done with their treatment. Although i did refuse to take any more services and my mood was altogether spoiled, i got to know that apart from the services we took, the owner's assistant talked my mother into getting some sort of face lifting and laser treatment and at cash-out our total bill was PKR 14,000 (apart from our vouchers. Upon interrogation with my mother, i was told that the assistant was "Very Persistent" and insisted very much.  

So basically my first ever experience with discount shopping had some Pros and some major Cons. 

CONS:

• Horrible horrible attitude problem from some of the staff and the owner
• Men stroll and walk inside anytime even when you're half naked getting a massage INSIDE the massage room. 
• Constant insisting to get services you absolutely DO NOT NEED that are worth a fortune.
• Learn to say NO.

PROS:

• My hair feels so amazing after the protein treatment, so there's that.
• The Massage was very soothing and i might have drifted into deep sleep.
• They do actually know what they're doing and the facials and other hair treatments did win my heart.

But in the end, a little raffle can certainly spoil one's image, and if you have some forbidden things that mustn't be done inside the clinic, FRIGGING MAKE A SIGN AND HANG IT! . Khair, I will definitely recommend it and Also a big shout out to Lootlo.pk for making things so amazing for us! Thank you! And as for Discount shopping is concerned, DEFINITELY NOT A RIP OFF! I got what was promised and it felt good!
